The Working Conditions: Public Lecture

September 27, 2017
Free

Minna Henriksson will speak about her artistic practice focusing on artist books as form of artwork. The most recent of these is ‘Works on Paper’ which tells aspects about the paper industry in Finland through 40 linocut prints.

In his talk curator Jussi Koitela speaks about curatorial processes behind his recent projects. Intra-Structures – Monster of the Seven Lakes was an exhibitionary entanglement with art works by Sabrina Chou, Caroline Doolin, The Otolith Group and Laura Põld, Moomin books by Tove Jansson and various intra-structural narratives. It was part of larger Entangling Matter and Meaning organised at Treignac Projet by artists Jaana Laakkonen and Sam Basu and curator Jussi Koitela. The project considered contemporary artistic, curatorial and institutional practices through recent queer and feminist-posthuman critical thinking.
